Great day spent in St Lucia.
The nature of the Caribbean islands is breathtaking and if you are in the right mood, you will feel very energized and refreshed after a day soaking in all this spectacular natural beauty and the tranquility of it all.
Hire a car and you’ll find the roads are tricky and mountainous, like driving on a badly coiled hosepipe into the rainforest’s heart. Head
south along the west coast to Marigot Bay and a tropical cove with a charismatic cluster of beachfront shacks and fishing boats straight out of a Death In Paradise episode.
Driving in St Lucia is not everyone’s idea of a relaxing road trip. During our last 4 days on the island, we tackled many potholes, steep hills, hairpin bends and drivers who love to overtake on a corner. We got lost, were regularly terrified but ultimately exhilarated. Every completed journey felt like I had triumphed over an obstacle course. And we can honestly say we loved it!
