A New Season, A Simpler Life: Sailing with Ambra in Tuscany

A new sailing season has arrived, and we’re back where we feel most alive—aboard our sailboat Ambra, moored in the sun-kissed Marina di Scarlino, Tuscany.

The return is overwhelming in the best way. This isn’t just travel. It’s a reconnection—with the sea, with ourselves, and with a life that feels free and wide open.

Living on Ambra reminds us of what really matters. It’s not the things we left behind in our house in Germany, but the essential tools we need to live simply and intentionally. It’s about caring for what we have and making it last. Out here, we’re learning that we don’t need more—we need less, and we need it to matter.

We’re choosing to stop wasting time worrying about forgotten possessions or chasing the next purchase. Instead, we want to explore what’s already around us. People. Nature. Experiences. We’re seeking stories, not stuff. We want to fill our lives with sunsets, laughter, quiet winds, and the salty scent of adventure—not cluttered rooms.

As the new season unfolds, we’re setting sail not just through the Mediterranean, but toward a more meaningful way of living. One where the horizon is always ahead, and the weight of too much fades behind us.
