Die Einfahrt zum Hafen ist wohl die imposanteste im ganzen Mittelmeer. Weiße Kalkwände, kristallklares Wasser und schwindelerregende Schönheit – 60 Meter über dem Meer thront Bonifacio und lockt mit der besten Aussicht auf Corsica. Wer auf der Suche nach dem spektakulärsten Hafen der Insel ist, der ist hier richtig. Bis an den Klippenrand drängen sich die Häuser der Altstadt von Bonifacio. Vom Hafenkai an der Kirche St-Erasme führt eine breite Treppe hinauf zur hinauf zur Oberstadt...

Getting older is about liberation. It’s about the non-essentials falling away, about not looking over your shoulder for approval or believing scary bullshit about the future. I have finally learned that as Montaigne put it, “there were many terrible things in my life, but most of them never happened.” I realise now how much energy I wasted, how depleting my worries and fears have been. .....that’s what I love about being older; knowing what is not to be feared has me feeling more myself...

Seit ein paar Tagen sind wir auf Corsica. 14 Stunden hat unsere Überfahrt von der Côte d’Azur gedauert und die duftende Macchia begrüßt uns schon 3 Seemeilen vor unserer Ankunft. Ein riesiger grüner Macchia-Teppich liegt über der gesamten Insel. Allein der Geruch ist unverwechselbar – eine Mischung aus verschiedenen Kräutern, wie Myrte, Rosmarin, Wacholder oder Ginster kombiniert mit der frischen Seeluft: Wunderbar! Erst seit 2 Wochen sind hier überhaupt vereinzelt Touristen...
